Primer motivacionog pisma za stipendiju za master studije

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a motivated student at University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Technical Sciences – Project Management optional course – and about to graduate in April – average mark 9.62 (on scale from 6 to 10). I’ve graduated in economics at University of Belgrade, major: International Trade and Policy, with average mark 8.78 (on scale from 6 to 10). Aiming at a career in the field of the Economics, management and microeconomic analysis, I will welcome the opportunity to participate in the Master in Economics that will be conducted during the next academic year.

During my studies and work I have been faced with a broad range of fundamental problems with which contemporary societies, and in particular the European Union, are confronted. As nowadays ‘macroeconomic reforms, economic crisis and integration’ are the buzzwords of Serbian society, it is of crucial importance for me to gain analytical and comprehensible insight in these processes in order to deal with the fundamental problems that my country is facing.

Being deeply interested in issues related to economics and importance of macroeconomic stability, I participated in high number of seminars and conferences. These seminars taught me that macroeconomic stability is not easy goal to reach, and also that mix economic policy and public choices are not always situations with win-win outcome, especially in the times of political instability and crises. Having that in mind, our politicians become aware that many specialized experts will be needed in order to implement hard society and economic reforms that we are facing on the road towards European Union and better macroeconomic performance. I would eagerly want to participate in those reforms. Even though my undergraduate and graduate programs have given me a strong background in the fundamentals of various subjects like mathematics, statistics, macro and microeconomics and European Union, I still need to widen my knowledge base in order to enable future development of my professional career. I have to continue my study in economics to enrich my skills and broaden my knowledge, but possibilities for that in my country are quite narrow.

Currently, I am employed as a Project Manager at YZ Research Centre, conducting research related to the EU Pre-accession Funds like IPA. My responsibilities include managing applications to the EU Delegation in Belgrade, collecting and editing data from various professional literature, as well, as making annual publications on our achievements in English language. Although my current job I find very challenging and interesting, I believe that my capabilities are beyond above mentioned tasks. I would like to become a very active participant in future integration of my country into EU, and as economical aspect of integrations is one of the most important in integrating process, I want to expand and systematize my knowledge in macroeconomics and microeconomics and project management as well. I consider that this will increase my opportunities to work as civil servant in governmental or nongovernmental sector in fields related to EU integrations, where I will be able to act as active player in integration process. I cannot imagine better possibility for me, than enrolling at Your master programme.

I have very wide experience with multicultural environment. I have been living individually in the capital of Serbia, participated on projects on multinational level that provided me with an indispensable respect on different cultural specificities. Also I have been volunteering at multinational project created to provide closer contact between countries of Western Balkan, Youth Organization ZZZ, where I have not just gained valuable multicultural experience, but I have helped young people to earn it. Awareness of cultural diversities and differences is one of the main European values and something that the whole EU was built on, but I find them also as personal quality. My personal multinational experience enables me to express well in foreign languages and to adapt easily to new situations. Moreover, my open personality creates an outgoing person with strong interpersonal skills. Also, I am convinced that my strong theoretical base on project management and economics is making me capable to follow classes and fulfill chores required by the programme. As studying abroad can be very expensive, I would also appreciate to be considered for Famous scholarship, as I am not able to finance studies on my own, and EU grant is my only possibility for financing my studies.

After I went through the course structure of your master programme and read carefully the overview and the objectives of every single course, I was sure that this programme perfectly matches with my interests. First of all I can complete my theoretical knowledge about various management-related topics and practice my language skills of English. Also, there is a growing need for trained and experienced professionals in Economics, and Your University has a very good reputation in this field.

Please have a look at my resume which provides further personal details. I would very much like to be accepted in the Master programme at your University. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email.

Yours faithfully,
